Amy Martin, M.A.

EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

CERTIFIED SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

Amy designed this in-home developmental play program to meet the needs of young children and their families. As many children experience developmental “hiccups” in their acquisition of new skills, Amy has developed a play practice designed to meet children where they are and help them navigate through these developmental stages.

While working as an Early Intervention Specialist in both home settings and public and private schools, she saw the challenges families faced in obtaining home-based services at a frequency that would support their child as well as provide ongoing parent consultation. No child is born with a handbook, and Amy is here to help.

She has dedicated her career to helping toddlers and preschoolers, along with their families, achieve their best success. Amy is experienced in working with children with communication delays, attentional challenges, motor difficulties, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, among other diagnoses.

Benefits of Child-Directed Play Services:

  • I am proud to be able to offer more tailored support and services based on your family's specific needs. This especially pertains to families who feel like they have been otherwise underserved.

  • It is a wonderful thing to not be tied to a dictated service model. In working together, we have the freedom to craft a frequency that is most warranted.

  • Tailored play sessions are a wonderful complement to other services, such as Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy.
